Green Impact Guelph (GIG) is a collaboration that enables residents to achieve massive savings in water and energy and contribute to a culture of conservation. Working with individuals, households and multi-residential building, GIG is helping to make neighbourhoods more sustainable by reducing barriers to conservation, accompanying residents at every step of the process.

Since 2007 GIG has distributed over 16,000 conservation kits, fostered the development of action plans in all 6 wards of the city, completed energy and water saving retrofits in over 1,000 apartment units and engaged over 100 people in turning off their lights for Earth Hour.

GIG is able to draw on the strengths of each resident and various partners to support small and large efforts. Every action will lead to a healthier community!
